Over the Easter break I set out early one morning to have breakfast at the beach side cafe in Brightlingsea and a walk around the promenade and marina. It was misty when I first arrived but soon cleared to reveal beautiful clear blue skies. I’ve put together a short video of some of my favourite photos from the morning.
A day too windy for a comfortable walk is ideal for kite surfing. The beach at one end of Clacton was crowded with the daredevils. Thankfully I managed to keep the sand out of my camera.
My Christmas eve coast drive took me to Clacton where I struggled to stand upright or keep my camera still because of the wind. It was the first time I have seen the new sea defences in action and although the tide was going out I had a good sense of how they worked.
Up on the esplanade even the seagulls were trying to get some respite from the wind!
If you have been following my blog for any length of time, you will know that I love a coast walk. Sadly it has been too windy to enjoy much of a walk this week. I did manage to get out and take a few photos by the paddling pool at Brightlingsea but keeping my camera out of the sea spray was a bit of a problem.
